of mice and Men
it seems that old 'classics' are forgotten in the wake and rumour of new and newer. what i mean by this is books, films and that good old feeling of ingenuity. now, we are up the alley looking at the sometimes wonderful, sometimes not remakes of films especially from everyone's favourite: hollywood.
yesterday, i found out that years ago, there was a film called ocean's eleven, which had debuted years before i was born. i have not seen it, but neither do i remember the remake. this is a dilemma. in trying to capture magic of the prior, the new films cannot make a name to themselves, but rather create a mere interesting story that is not the centre of wonder, but points to the past.
hollywood has already gone through her golden age, we are on her weaker bronze lining now. the clouds have faded and even greats of old can not be brought back to give us the sense that we are watching something spectacular. we watch a 'good movie' then immediately look for a next good one and abandon the prior in a heat of desire. to be entertained, that is the action, the sweet action that must satiate our desires.
that is why from here, i suggest that we all wear this new goggle that myself along with 50 good men and the stepford wives have struggled for 10 years to design. it is in fact, nothing especially new in material or construction, comprising of mere plastique, the essence of gold dust, a poison apple and honey dew melon.
they work by the power of magic and the gods and stuff and at the moment that you put them on, a new world emerges from behond your visual cortex, interacting with your brain to bring a very intimate experience to the space between your hands and your eyes, very much like playing nintendo's NINTENDOGS. i will not sell them, because basically i know the power they have. they will revolutionize the way we no longer interact with eachother. they will allow a true networking of stimulation and procrastination to emerge and from that we can embark upon what i can only describe as "prodstar" the epic battle of dethroning poor quality movies.
